Sneek has earned the qualification of best shopping town of North Netherlands (above the rivers). From Hotel de Wijnberg you can easily reach the Sneekermeer, to rent a boat or practices other water sports. The area is perfect for a nice walk or cycling tour. For example the 11-cities tour, a traditional ice-skating route. Leeuwarden FECC and Heerenveen (Thialf) are only a 20 minutes drive. Amsterdam is about 1,5 hours.
